You just chose to boot to it from the BIOS. I set it to always boot to Linux by default and Windows as a fallback.
I guess i haven’t thought much about live booting. I guess that could be nice for travel. Bring one fewer devices.
Technically, it’s not live booting. It’s normally installed, just on an external drive. The OS doesn’t feel the difference. You just chose to boot to it from the BIOS. I set it to always boot to Linux by default and Windows as a fallback.
