Ehhhh depends on the person really. Not everyone has a close circle of friends they have known for 20+ years. I have several but wpuld still be happy to make more.
I think it’s because we are all “choosier” with prospective friends due to time being valuable. You don’t want to invest if you know its probably not a perfect match up.
