      It looks like it from the perspective, but there is no shelf. All the reflections just line up to look that way.

          Adding a horizontal reflecting shelf the length of the hallway is far less likely than lining up reflections. It doesn’t even make sense.

          If you start with the hallway floor and then mark out the same distance as a reflection it all matches up.

        I didn’t see it at first either. The spots of light on the floor also look like they could be reflecting off a transparent surface suspended at the level of the brown stripe on the wall.

        Also, to me at first, the hallway looked much wider than it actually is thanks to the reflectiveness of the walls

          Yeah I saw it as much wider at first too, with those doors to the left sort of floating in apart from a wall.
