I’d rather live in a small, no frills apartment with only the most basic of rent prices to help cover repairs in a socialist economy over being homeless in a capitalist one.

I guess. Although I know heaps of beggers who make a killing.

      Easy 2 grand a week.

If you know how to game, by God you can make a killing.

Now that said to live with yourself you do need to have a bit of a habit, so they are paying a good 50% of that into the smack tax.

I’ll say again and again heroin addicts are the hardest working people in a capitalist society. Never stop workin it…

This is why most reactionaries desperately cling to the idea that what they’re experiencing is secretly socialism. They literally do the joke “socialism is when bad thing happens” to circle the square.

“But with socialized medicine there will be government death panels deciding who does or doesn’t get life saving care.”

We literally have corporate death panels at insurance companies deciding who does or doesn’t get life saving care. Hell, most of the time its not even a panel. Its one sleazy sadistic doctor who is paid lots of money to deny everything he can.

Under socialism, you will live next to a first generation immigrant from a country full of brown people, you will eat their food, experience their culture, and work side by side in pursuit of a better life.

    And you will like it.

And those that haven’t, have been thrown onto the shoulders of the global south for them to suffer and be robbed. Capitalism has never worked.

No, that’s the problem with capitalism.

The only problem that socialism ever had is that you could run out of money from capitalist nations trying to overthrow your government while the best resource to generate energy and therefore money is coal, which most socialist nations don’t have in abundance but settler-colonial capitalists ones do from it’s imperialist run during colonial times.

But we don’t live in those times anymore. It’s the 21st century, solar and wind is gaining ground, and therefore China is rising, which it already was because its inferior coal became affordable somewhere during the 20th century.

It’s actually amazing that no new socialist revolution has happened yet and yet plenty of nations tried to and even succeeded in going further to the right, going neo-liberal, neo-conservative or even fascist, and that includes attempted or even succesful coups, even in China itself with the failed attempt in Hong Kong and a neo-liberal push in Taiwan, to stop the older nationalist party from surrendering to the winning socialist party of China in its civil war, and just rewrite history to pretend they never were Chinese in the first place and that they are the native people of Taiwan instead of the Pangcah, Atayal, Paiwan, Rukai and Dunnan among others.

And this is all happening during a complete socio-economic meltdown around the world due to AI,
that should be ushering in socialist nations into becoming full communist.

I know this has been driven home before, but the idea that socialism is just spending other’s money is absurd.

Actually they do. It is called an overproduction crisis. Under capitalism it can be solved only through wars.
