I took a lot of photos with a lot of people during the late 90’s. I wonder if those backup CDs in storage are still good.

It’s a generic term but yeah to everyone nowadays a cassette would be one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassette_tape That wiki article has more examples in it of older ones too and competitors if you feel like a little random reading.
