Android is locking down, age verification and hardware level scanning laws are coming to every western nation. They would never just outlaw Linux but they could neuter its freedom and autonomy. Privacy ROMs will be banned soon, either explicitly or by being made near impossible to get. Every device, every interaction online, every communication, will be scanned for state approved guidelines.

I do think that, reading between the lines, their goal is to make Linux a crime.
They’re not thinking ahead, though.
If running a free (as in freedom) operating system makes me a criminal, my job opportunities expand substantially.
There’s some good, just and equitable work I won’t take, today, because I don’t want a criminal record.
At the point I’m already on the run from the the law, things could get very profitable for me, and very uncomfortable for them.
I would rather not see that world happen, but I’ll be sure to start a blog about ways to thrive in it, if it does happen.
