I don’t have time to retrace it all. I know the right are saying he is left leaning but when it all came out his family were known members of some fringe ultra right wing hate group. Nothing I’ve seen since this has suggested its any different. You might start by looking at articles from around the the time it happened. Anything you see later than a few weeks after it happened is being produced for the bias of whoever is writing it. They can’t charge him federally and its really got trump and them mad.

If you don’t have time to “retrace it all” it’s much better to say nothing instead of spreading misinformation.

If you don’t have time to make a real comment then perhaps don’t comment at all.

I remember what I read. If you don’t like that I recalled it and commented on it on lemmy shitpost you should just ignore me and not comment. heh.

It seems like we are at a stale mate since I’m saying their isn’t any proper proof and you’re saying you don’t have time to find it.

I don’t give much credence to what his family’s beliefs were, he had moved out by then and it’s very possible his views had changed from theirs.

I don’t know about trump specifically, but I do know the right doesn’t like him, mostly because they think he was a leftist. It’s weird that both sides claim he belongs to the other and neither has anything but conjecture about it.

Raised as a Mormon in a red state and people want to say he was not conservative. People are really stupid I guess.

They’re whole subs dedicated to people that have left Mormonism. The views ones parents hold aren’t strictly inescapable.

What’s the church of latter day Saints view on dating transfolk? I’d attribute more importance to who he was dating then what his dad thought, no?

Did he leave the church, did he have his name removed from their rolls? Was he on one of these sites?

And no, I would not attribute his worldview to who he supposedly dated last.

Source: My wife’s sister came out and then went right back in the closet so she could attend her daughter’s temple wedding.

I was raised Christian and am still on the church’s equivalent of their rolls. I can also tell you I only have hate for the church. Your anecdote seems to imply no one can stop being Mormon?

How is what rolls he is on more important than who he is banging anyways?

Not that anything is certain but speculations don’t equal truth just because it fits the narrative you are pinning for.
