for my entirely too long life, Rs have been “States rights”, one of the few issues where I agree with them.

2025, and here we are. Rs are pro-Russia, against States rights, and now this? Reagan will climb out the dirt and go on a rampage like a kaiju

I must have missed the news. What is Trump doing now regarding the 2nd amendment?

Last I heard it was after the Alex Pretti killing. He was beaten without ever drawing his legally obtained firearm he had in the small of his back. During the beating, ICE found the firearm, disarmed him, and then proceeded to execute him in the street. After the killing, a bunch of room temperature IQ Republicans said he shouldn’t have brought his legally obtained (gonna keep stressing that) firearm to a “peaceful protest.”

If there’s anything else along to their apparent effort of pulling back on the 2nd Amendment, well, I haven’t been informed.

Let’s not forget that he’s the only president to ever float the idea of a gun ban, and that was in his first term. Take the guns and figure out due process later.

It was negligent of Harris not to bring that up every chance she got.

            not to bring that up

I havent seen much of the debates and campaigns and whatever, but between the rapes, pedophilia, money laundering, Russian ties, an actual rap sheet with like 30some felonies and the dog-eating was there much opportunity?

She was trying to get Republicans to switch their vote, so it would have been way more effective on them than those other things.

I hate how right you are about this. They wouldn’t give a shit if the Epstein files revealed that he was eating human babies drenched in cold ketchup, but he threw around the idea of taking gun rights away from a suspected wife beater until adjudication? For the safety of the wife? Preposterous. Vote Jeb instead!

Dems need to stop trying to court the right, but if they refuse to stop that, this is what they need to try. “Republicans want to take your guns, conduct more world policing to send your sons overseas to die in the quest to steal more oil without even lowering your price at the pump, and take away your healthcare and use those tax funds on immigrants. This isn’t the America First you were promised.”
And yeah I know that they’re fine with how their tax funds are being used on immigrants, but if you’re vague and don’t explain exactly how those funds are being used on immigrants, they’ll assume that it’s being used to help them instead of kidnap them.

Exactly, go after the things they’re afraid of instead of the things they celebrate. There’s a reason why Waltz calling them weird was so effective.
