    Is this a joke?

    Men in the past were not great fathers. Women did almost all the child rearing.

    Many were drug addicts and alcoholics because being disenfranchised and forced into servitude isn’t great for mental health.

    Men would beat and assault their wives. It was perfectly legal. It was encouraged in the society as a way to show you were a real man.

    Crimes against children were rarely investigated.

    Look, I’ve lived throught the last three pictures and the only change is that now we look at different screens instead of one big one. I don’t get where people get this notion that people used to be super social and when phones appeared magically changed into hermits.

    Just asking the question is poison for the mind.

    Try making this picture for blacks or asians or any non western, non white, non heteronormative, non male performing person.

    The only way this picture makes sense is that you as a white man want to go back to the times where your oppression wasn’t questioned, while hiding behind the idea that screens are somehow worse than white oppression.
