    Does the RoK not have selective enforcement laws? In the US, I think the 39 colleagues’ testimony would get him off without anything else.

      If I remember rightly, this was a union busting thing, not a snack pie thing. This security guard was involved in a unionizing drive, and a “stolen” snackpie was the thing they found to get rid of the guy. And of course the police went along with it, because acab.

      In the US the cops would just laugh at someone reporting a $1 snack being stolen. Most places have a minimum dollar amount before a crime is even committed.

        Otherwise it’s indicative of inherent criminal tendency and they decide to make an example.
