I guess, they will do as much as they are forced to do by local law and nothing more. ID verification providers are companies and companies usually demand money for their service.
If the UK implementation is anything to go by, anything tagged NSFW demands your ID or face scan to view. Reddit is the same.
Also it is a shit system. NSFW doesn’t necessarily mean adult only. That can fail in both directions too.
