trying to lose weight is frustrating. I feel you.

Consider this : diet is the word that’s used to describe what an animal eats. “The cow’s diet consists mainly of grass”. No matter what you eat, you are following a diet. You have the choice to make that diet consist of junk food, too much food, or slip by the little cracks that come up that add just a bit, just a bit , just a bit, until they add up to over the calories you need in a day, which in turn, keeps you out of shape.

Being conscious of what you eat and making adjustments so that your diet is better, or at least, less calories will make long term improvements to your form and health, and the positive feedback loop, once established, will make your choices easier to make. It will still be difficult.

If you can see and understand a mushroom cloud then you’re either out of range or about to get a near (but non) lethal dose of radiation. Not instant death.

I would probably react like that dude on the barge inside the oil cistern in Waterworld when the flare drops.

    “Oh thank god…”

“Cloud”. Cloud is the word you’re missing. I was confused what “a nuclear 🍄 appears outside” meant until the end…
