You dont believe it’s a democracy anymore, do you? Nothing is for the people.

We do live in a democracy. The problem is how extraordinarily and terribly dysfunctional it is right now, and the fact that it is being ripped apart from the insides by the people who run it.

And I certainly believe that it is something worth fighting for in order to keep.

That said, I understand where you’re coming from. Democracy isn’t dead, though. But it is dying, and we can either save it or watch the end of liberty.

I believe the idea is that our democracy is mortally wounded. It’s over, no matter what we do. If you have studied 20th century history, well, you already know what’s coming. I saw it in Trump 1.0.

I’ll fight. And let’s just say I believe the 2nd amendment is now very appropriate. But I’m one old man with only one life to lose. I can’t make meaningful change.

Democracy only dies if the idea of it is erased from a collective consciousness.

People. People like you and me we must fight to keep it alive, or we don’t deserve it in the first place.

If you’re hopeless right now? I said why. Because that’s what they want. Democracy will survive as long as they continue to fight for it.
