As my therapist likes to point out, no one is calling out my gross incompetence, so I can’t be doing that bad.
How do we measure success? By most accounts, the people who have achieved the most success are viewed as monsters. The real challenge is finding what makes us content with what we have. I have cats and a tiny garden - it’s where I put my love and energy. The food I grow is my sign of success.
Success was a lot easier when I stopped following the crowd and found happiness. What do you do well for yourself?
This year I started growing food for the first time. I had zucchinis and cucumbers a-plenty. That made me happy.
Get out some paper.
Draw a line right to left, then straight up, then diagonal from that top left to bottom right (triangle), then straight up, then close the box by going left, then give it a roof coming down to that top right (another triangle), finally go diagonally from the top right to bottom left.
Now you have the house (or barn) without lifting your pen.
I feel like you could do that in a much less complicated way without the weird X going through it.
Just draw a square starting from the top left going clockwise, and then when you close the square back in the top left corner, keep your pen on the page and cap it with a triangle.
Oh this is one of those tricky childhood things where you’re supposed to draw it without overlapping lines or lifting your pen.

Right, I just mean that, unless including the X is a prerequisite, this is simpler:

Followed the instructions as exactly as I could manage, though the
then give it a roof coming down to that top right (another triangle)part is very confusing. You start at the top left there because you just ‘closed the box by going left’. Going to the top right would retrace the line exactly and wouldn’t create a triangle.I got you, the peak to the house was probably bad instructions.

Yeah … all the other instructions were for a single straight line. Having step 6 here be a line with an angled bend in it (basically two lines) really needs to be clarified if that’s the case.
Still says nothing at all about the length and proportions of these lines, though, so there’s still plenty of opportunity to fuck it up:

Touche on the bent line
