Endeavor is a very good distro, don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to convince you to switch. It just seems silly to me that it seemed like you were interested in the other Cachy features, but as soon as you hear that it comes with a GUI package manager, that automatically makes it not for you, when it wouldn’t affect you.
Except for the fact that I very clearly said there were no features that I found interesting? And also, avoid anti-features doesn’t seem particularly silly to me.
If you or anyone else wants to use cachy, that’s great, but it’s not for me.
But… If you want to dip your toes into an Arch distro, which may need manual mantainace with the command line from time to time, you will end up having to open the terminal anyway?
Why not get comfortable in Endeavour with a ‘pacman -S’ from time to time?
Nobody is forcing you to use it instead of command line, or preventing you from uninstalling it.
Sure, but if that’s a selling point, an advantage as we were discussing, then it’s obviously the wrong distro for me. I’m sure it’s great for others.
