Apple today announced Siri Recap, a new feature in their upcoming Apple Watches that will allow it to generate a summary of conversations you have throughout the day.
I don’t know how they can make this legal in a Two Party Consent state. Even if the raw recording is not made available to the user, it is still recording people without their consent. Additionally, I don’t know if “summary recaps” of recordings fall under the same laws as raw audio recordings.
As much as I would absolutely love to be able to go back and re-listen to conversations to make sure I remembered important information (my wife gets pissed at me for forgetting things all the time), this is a privacy nightmare.
