Books are important because of their human connection. If there is none left to have then its functionally worthless.
I think its a bit egocentric to think our thoughts will be important forever

That’s how life works, people come and go. We can’t remember every single person that’s ever lived forever, but people can have keepsakes of those important to them in their lives.
Its not sad that more people didnt get to make that specific connection, because there are countless opportunities to connect with people now.

Presumably everyone who would have a personal connection to these destroyed books, already has one.
I dont think AI companies are stealing peoples personal collections while they sleep.
Just to be clear though, fuck AI and those involved.
Tell me more about this “emulator keychain” please!

I mostly mean before college. There is definitely a path for american soccer players, but its not in America like you say. World class players still “retire” and then go play in America, which says a lot.

American athletes generally are multi-sport players when younger, and tend to follow the best money. The players who have the best chance at being star soccer players simply end up playing football or basketball. The sport being less popular than at least 4 other sports in America is a huge problem for developing homegrown talent for the national team.

You won’t be able to tell if Claude is giving you good answers or not. You’d have to have someone who knows about this stuff check it for you, but at that point you should just have that person help you.

Sort of comes off as an old boomer just saying stuff off the top of their head. I’m sure its not an actual legal declaration. I guess I agree then, they are fools.

I literally have one running right now. Its unauthenticated as well.

Sure, but theres a wide range of usage for an unnoficial minecraft server. Some servers make quite a lot of money via gambling mechanics.
The main reason Mojang or Minecraft care is because they need to protect the games image as a safe thing for kids to play. If it was a mature rated game, none of this would even matter.

Sure, and WoW ships with a file that directs you to the official servers, that you can change to any IP address.
Besides all that I’m simply explaining the companies position. If you want to pirate the game feel free. If you want to allow “offline” accounts to join your server, feel free to do that too.

The java version authenticates with Microsoft and Mojang to prove valid ownership and to make sure parental controls are applied to accounts. I believe they are talking about unauthenticated servers that allow pirated accounts to join. Its similar to private MMO servers that are setup in a similar way. Same files, used unsupervised.
Generally this type of thing only matters with games that kids play, because people tend to try to protect kids. Games explicitly for adults seem to be able to be more free with what they allow.
The water here comes out super cold from the hose too, that sounds like a fantastic way to keep cool!

Sounds slightly pyramid shaped.

Shitty rich people have sued most public schools into absurd levels of restriction. Its a nightmare when idiots are allowed to pay to be told they are legally correct by another idiot in a black robe.

I’m at a point in my life where I just won’t use a service or company if it won’t work on my devices. Thats not likely to be a luxury everyone has so I know its not for everyone.

Good to know, thanks!

I use grapheneOS for many years now. I’m having some trouble coming up with things that haven’t worked on it. I use Aurora as an alternate front end for google play, for downloading certain free apps.
I think I’ve seen problems with apps that check google store for purchase verification, but I don’t personally have a google account or purchase android apps so it hasn’t affected me.
Its nice if you are actually trying to stay away from Google. Its probably not the best experience if you still want to use their apps and services.
I prefer the experience. My phone doesnt try to get my attention or track me, at least as far as I can tell. Reminds me of when the first smart phones came out and they were just useful tools.

Is mull not recommended anymore?
I think we would be better off forging human connections with those around us than trying to make those connections with the remnants of those long passed.
The bible is also a rough example, because its been modified and translated over the last 2000 years. I’d argue there isn’t much connection to those who originally wrote it, and I don’t think the intent of religion is human connection anyways.
