Cool, I’ve come across this before. I have been looking for a more open thermostat, preferably esp32 based, that I can have good local control over. I have started to do the board layout for one with some air quality sensors built in.

I normally am against outrageous branding, especially in the overly masculine or nationalistic area, but I think they are pretty solid. Good product, they lean right into the ridiculousness just enough for it to be a little comical, seem to have good messaging, and it’s just good. Expensive for what it is though.

OP asked what you self host that isn’t media, self hosted LLMs is something I find very useful and I didn’t see mentioned. Home assistant, pihole, etc, all great answers… But those were already mentioned.
