    That’s a feature of Arch Linux though. If you don’t want that, there are bunch of distros you don’t need tweaking.

      I’m aware, and just like how those other distros exist, these extra windows steps are for power users. Normie’s can just go through the normal windows installation process that doesn’t involve hassle.

        Well, normies don’t usually care about privacy either, so those align. However some non tech-savvy people care about privacy, maybe these steps would be better for them in the short span before they are committed to Linux.
