Best Buy Removed Half The RAM From A Gaming Laptop Because It Said The Laptop Only Supports 32GB

A customer sent a Lenovo Legion 5 in for warranty service with 64GB of RAM.

The Best Buy repair report confirmed the laptop had two 32GB RAM sticks, but the technician said the laptop “only accepts 32GB RAM maximum.”

The removed RAM was sent back to the customer with the laptop.

you have recourse when stupid shit happens like them stealing your hardware

Just as an aside, you didn’t directly say it but may have inadvertently implied it, but the post says BestBuy sent back the extra 32 GB they removed with the laptop. They didn’t steal it.

That wasnt my intent to imply, but upon rereading you are right to comment about it because I can see how it can be misconstrued as implying best buy stole something.

I’m not going to edit my original post though, so your post remains relevant, and because both have already been seen and reacted to by others.
