This hits close to home. My girl is 12 now and while she still loves going on walks she’s slowed a lot since she was a pup.
I brought mine home from the shelter when she was 8 and she was still a hell of a walker
Note: that feels dangerously close to peach fuzz. l’ve drifted to sleep while scratching her chin with just the fingertip of my index while whispering made-up songs about her adventures (we may have spotted a fawn or a boar on our morning hike) that I lost count
