The crazy part is that it’s utterly misunderstood as “abolish the police”. You see officers in military gear parading next to crumbling libraries and don’t think the funds should go somewhere else?

Lack of literacy is a problem. Defunding a militarized police force isn’t. But I guess the general public needs more handholding.
