Come on. You’ve never told something to someone else that someone confided in you, because you didn’t think it was a big deal (and ultimately it wasn’t)?
Abuse is a pattern. No parent is perfect. Abuse is about power and control, and as you noted this specific action is part of a larger abusive system. So absent that larger system of abuse, being a blabbermouth is a normal ass character flaw. Stop trying to diagnose people on the internet.
