I got sick of the price gouging so I got a bidet for $25 and a pack of 60 cotton washcloths for $30, and other than for guests and such, I just don’t use TP anymore. If I’m wiping after a bowel movement, it goes into the laundry and isn’t used again until washed (sanitary cycle with bleach). So each cloth is used for a day at most.
I know that probably sets off the squick for a lot of people, but it is basically the same soil level as worn underpants (and way less gross than cloth diapers!), since the bidet takes care of the actual mess, so it just doesn’t bother me, and in the long run saves a ton. Extra bonus, I never run out!
