One of my friends got an early 90’ Buick with that 3800 for his first car. You want to talk about a tank? He took absolutely the bare minimum amount of care of it, infrequent oil changes, parts only got replaced when absolutely necessary, not just making a little noise. For some reason his ac never went bad though. I think the South Florida car gods were just looking it for us.
'95 LeSabre was my first car. Drove over an open manhole and obliterated the subframe. Still drove and ran fine, but it was totalled. The engine fell out but still ran enough to get home. Those engines are immortal.
The impala, I’m selling because now I have too many cars. Runs great though. She’s gonna outlast me, probably.
