• You’re right, my opinion doesn’t mean people don’t get addicted to porn. The consensus of the scientific community carries a bit more weight though, and that’s what’s behind my opinion. Believe whatever you want, but beware the ideological company you keep.

        https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC13371739/ porn addiction isn’t a term that has been adopted by science but problematic porn use or PPU is and it’s real. They did find that people from religious backgrounds called themselves addicts but weren’t always actually consuming a lot of porn.

        I say this as someone who doesn’t have an issue with porn or people watching it. I fully agree that Christianity makes way too big a deal about porn and masturbation, but people def have real problems with their porn usage and not because it’s morally wrong to look at porn.
