    Welp, they don’t have it all figured out. In context I am impressed with how rapidly Suharto massively boosted and stabilised the country from the mess it was left to him in. It was brutal, but effective, and I can’t fault that. And then his successors have largely kept Suharto’s ethos of development, while reestablishing rights and freedoms to everyone Suharto made illegal. While there are many injustices I’m not aware of, it seems the leadership is dedicated to making a lot of positive choices.
