Fahrenheit is how the scale between the temperature of a specific brine solution to the estimated temperature on a specific women with a fever “feels”. It is not based on humans in any way. That is only what Americans like to push because they have only ever known Fahrenheit.
To me Celsius is how the temperature feels to a human. Because that is what I’ve grown up with.
How humans perceive things like temperature also widely ranges. What for some is too hot, for other is too cold. Had Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit grown up in a different climate, your entire temperature scale would be different.
Human senses is thus a dumb way to base any scale on. Better to use something static … like water. One of the most abundant things on our planet.
