    There are deals to be had out there. I got a 2015 Dell Optiplex for $20 at a thrift shop. I got a cheap 128GB SSD and 16GB of DDR3 RAM for it. Unless you’re a gamer, you probably don’t need a new computer. Buy used when possible. Especially DO NOT rent one.

        Since I learned that I can edit configuration files in many games to lower graphics beyond what the game settings allow, so that I can run even recent releases in my low end pc, I don’t plan to buy new hardware even for gaming (yes, the visuals will have lower quality, but these days, with all the shit happening around me, I don’t even care anymore. Besides, they’re usually not that bad)
