No one else would see them that visited unless it was enabled by default generally and therefore not very useful still. I don’t know how much longer it will take them to enable it by default. Well, regardless of browser support, I would be interested in testing the compression performance of animated JPEG XL versus animated WebP. Would be a good showdown.
