Part of me thinks this is why memory prices are being held high. Even if supply increases I doubt we’ll see significant reductions in price.

Frontier AI models will only be accessible by the rich and powerful (government and corpos). Distilled frontier models for local use may exist but will be arbitrarily out of reach for most due to hardware availability or pricing.

    This is all by design.

Oh no, we can only use limited versions of the climate destroying unaffordable slop machines! Whatever shall we do to lose money now?

The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer, and whether you participate in it or not will not change that. That all of us will continue to not even have the opportunity to play on a level playing field should concern you. I don’t give a shit about your opinion on AI in general; this is still a problem for us.

It may be a problem for you personally, but overall, frontier LLMs are completely unaffordable and without massive venture capital “subsidies” will soon collapse.

So nah, this is zero worry to me, and should be to you.

It should absolutely worry you, all of it, not sure what your problem is, but wasting my time fighting you is what they want, so I am bowing out.
