Even New Jersey has nature though. What people want are sustainable and walkable urban landscapes to live in, with protected natural landscapes nearby to visit. Being mostly empty space spotted with strip malls is not pleasant.
You’re gonna get no pushback from me there. I hate the car-centric nature of the US, and rural/small town Ohio is particularly bad. I’m just trying to point out that even these flawed places aren’t all bad. There’s always something better to work towards, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t appreciate the good that’s here right now too
