Belarus is actually only the 20th country by potato production. It produces about a fifth of what Ukraine or Russia produce, and 25 times less than China (yes, Wikipedia has you covered even there)
But I’m happy the Belarus potato meme leaves the Slav world and matures for the world stage :D
It’s the love, not the quantity. Although Ireland still has it beaten imo.
Ireland potato consumption per capita is like twice lower than Belarus, with Ukraine as a close second.

I guess Irish learned to diversify, the hard way.
Soft but American currency
The nutritional value of currency is normally quite lacking.
So is it a blood bank?
Don’t potatoes left unattended in an enclosed environment get pretty hazardous?
Where would the world be without Peru.
Roughly the same location, probably.
But no potatoes ಥ╭╮ಥ
Btw, Peru still produces more potatoes than Belarus
Peru?
The home of potatoes. Their ancestors bred them into the delicious tubers we know and love…
but that didn’t affect the position of Earth in any way
edit: I guess the lack of Peru could alter the rotation of the earth though
Moreso without the people there to have cultivated it I don’t think any of us would have potatoes today. Also in the literal sense that the land was not there then there could be no potatoes at all very easily.
