But, frustratingly, most people who have one will probably connect it to the internet just because that’s what the manual says to do during the set up procedure. It’s getting harder to find devices that don’t insist on being connected.

How do they push out an update to something that I will never connect to?
That is the way to prevent it.
But, frustratingly, most people who have one will probably connect it to the internet just because that’s what the manual says to do during the set up procedure.
