im not saying i agree with vaxry, i think calling yourself non political is bullshit and mostly just an excuse.
im saying im doubtful of your previous comment as it seems from my perspective that you either Misunderstood the quote, or worded your comment in an unfortunate manner that made it seem like that, due to your summary

It’s important to note that there are many people who disagree on topics like religion, economic systems, LGBT issues, geopolitics, and other. For whatever reasons they may, we still should not ostracize them as long as they can interact with the FOSS community in a respectful manner, without arguing about those issues in places not meant for such discussions.

but also, LGBT issues are divisive, so we don’t want things like pronouns showing up around here.
which to me seems very… flawed for lack of a better word
I left out some context. There was a massive controversy that sparked a lot of the “toxic community” claims. Someone showed up with pronouns in their discord display name. A server mod changed that user’s display name on the server so the pronouns were “(who/cares)” … Which vaxry declared “not a big deal” but they made it clear that showing up with pronouns in the server was “politically divisive” and that users who include pronouns are unwelcome.
“LGBT issue” being lumped in with “politics” in his quote is intentional, as his way of being dismissive of it.
