If you are cool enough to truly believe that then you are not mediocre, friend. Shitty is unfortunately the norm for men when it comes to patriarchy (At least in my experience), making you exceptional in this regard.
IMO my value as a person shouldn’t be dependent on the people around me, so many guys being shitty makes them bad (and society fucked) but doesn’t make me better than I was. I strive for mediocrity and I’m proud to have achieved it by my own efforts, rather than just by default because the average got worse lmao
