    Kings don’t have jobs, mate.

I mean, most kings throughout history didn’t have access to unlimited music from all time at their fingertips with Spotify or unlimited videos from all eras with Youtube, they didn’t have instant planetary scale messaging or the ability to go down the road and get food from a massive variety of restaurants offering a massive variety of foods made for them on a whim, they also didn’t have so many other things, pretty sure the chair I’m sitting on is probably comfier than the one they sat on as well… I’ll call it even :P

    I live in Scotland!

That’s rough but you guys make some pretty good music, Rebelion, Boards of Canada from Edinburgh, Sleep Research Facility from Glasgow, lots of ambient producers from Scotland

Why are you comparing your life to historical kings, while there are still rulers in our modern era, who have access to all of the same modern conveniences as you do, alongside all of the overwhelming advantages of being a member of the ruling class, never having to work a day in their lives, exploiting you?

Because it’s metaphorical not literal, I don’t sit on a golden throne either or attend ceremonies opening bridges or cut ribbons and get my face splashed across your garbage UK newspapers

It sounds to me like you live a comfortable life, which I’m glad to hear, but surely you must see some of the problems reflected around you in society, even if you don’t personally experience them? Don’t you see public services struggling under austerity, or people in your community who struggle to make ends meet, despite working hard? Does that stuff just not bother you at all? No judgment here, it’s okay if the answer is no, I’m just genuinely curious.
