The open-access study in question.
Cuttlefish are cephalopods (cephalopods are a class within the mollusc phylum), as are squids, octopodes, nautilus, etc. As octopodes have demonstrated high intelligence, this research is welcome and really cool but, to me, unsurprising.
Unsurprising?? These fuckers have an ability that Adderall barely affords me, I’m jealous.
Some species can exert self-control for several seconds whereas others, such as large-brained vertebrates, can tolerate delays of up to several minutes.
Yeah, “several” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in my brain.
Maybe there is hope for our billionaires after all.
