They’ve been doing these special commemorative buckets for a few years now. I happened to be seeing a movie at the same time Taylor Swift’s movie was out, and I went into the Men’s Room, and someone had left an empty TS bucket on the sink. They’re expensive, so I thought about keeping it, but there are few people I care less about than Taylor Swift, so I took it out to the lobby and left it on a table for someone who gives a shit.
This may sound dumb, but do movies really make their own popcorn buckets?
I’ve been thinking it’s a Photoshop type thing, but somehow this shit post is making me rethink that.
How long have they been doing this? Are they plastic? Do people collect them, or is it just deluxe garbage?

AMC alone is projected to make $100MM this year on novelty buckets.
I don’t want to be like people can’t have fun unless it’s on my terms but that seems… wrong.
Assuming it’s true.
The $100M isn’t just buckets. AMC told USA Today it’s for all their collectible merch, so drink cups, T-shirts and that kind of stuff count too
It’s deluxe garbage people collect.
Thank you mom and dad for not making me a collector.
They been doing it since the 90s but it wasn’t popular until 2019. https://read.filmflavor.com/p/souvenir-popcorn-buckets-collectible-2024
Theres a company named Zinc in australia designing several of the novelty ones
