- I am, once again, in the only correct corner - This meme puts me in the opposite of where I am on the political compass funnily enough. I’m in the LibLeft corner politically, but I play 5, 6, and even 7-string bass guitars as my primary instrument for the most part. The 4s still come in handy when you don’t need or feel to use more, though. - I’ve played five and six string basses, but I’ve always owned a four string. I guess I like the punch of a Jazz bass a little better. Especially Ibanez and Peavey Cirrus basses; they’re almost “floppy” sounding to me. - When it comes to Fender, I much prefer Jazz over Precision myself. Speaking of extended-range Fender basses, though, Steve Bailey, chair of the bass department at Berklee College of Music, uses this massive machine as a specialized jazz bass commonly attributed to him:
