It’s neither. As I said to the other person, communists don’t support, say, the Shining Path of Peru, or Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. Communists support socialist states, as well as anti-imperialist states, based on their actual real merits.
I’ve seen some of your posts and comments and they are nuanced. However I take a slightly issue with “Communists support”. This is the internet, there are many voices, so while I don’t think you’re one of these people, they do exist, and they deserve being made fun of.
The people who “love every country that calls itself communist, or voices opposition to the US” don’t really exist. MLMs that support Gonzalo and Pol Pot are fringe, and moreover don’t support China, Vietnam, Cuba, etc. When I say “communists support,” I am aware that there are outliers, but the idea that people on Lemmy in any significant number have views akin to what’s described here is false.
