It’s also nice when they come into our country-specific subs to tell us how things are in the US, as we get so little news about the US.

I hear more news from the US than my own country. Granted, my own country’s politics are people respectfully discussing policy matters while US politics is like a circus and a pro wrestling league combined, with unimaginably high stakes.

we only have dirty corrupt diddlers on each level of hierarchy. The prime minister is a “gyaan raat bhar, kaam jhaant bhar” kinda guy. The media is sold. The opposition lacks strength. Politicians get way too much power for doing Literally nothing.

I believe India is in “USA but 50 years ago if smart phones were present” kind of situation

Andhbhakts are already at it. Whataboutism at its finest when you look at their “arguments” and “points”. Seriously, I wonder why so many people are so deluded? Is the Cult of Personality really so strong with BJP? Seems like it.

I think in north india, we seem to bind our identity with a politician or a party and start justifying everything they do. Plus the lack of awareness in the masses is never a good thing.

The country is groups of giant flocks of sheeps.

À ce rythme là, ce serait préférable que le cirque nucléaire au sud.

At this rate, it would be preferable to the nuclear circus South of the border. Where can I read more?

I seek out the non-US perspective. Sometimes you need someone else to show you that the Emperor has no clothes.

Or sometimes just to have a sane conversation.

Given practically any forward looking or quality of life topic: here it’s dominated by politics, illegal program cuts, incompetent leaders selected only for personal loyalty, breaking it for the sake of breaking it. Can’t we discuss things like adults?
