This kinda thing flabbergasts me. Who the hell needs to be reminded to drink?!
Anyone with isotonic fluid loss. Alcoholics for instance. People who lose a lot of salt with their sweat(this is both an individual variation and a very well studied version of heat adaption, athletes and outdoor workers end up with b dilute sweat a week or two after they start experiencing heat stress). True dehydration (increased osmolality) triggers thirst but isotonic fluid deficiency may not
Coffee is kind of like water, right?
It is so hard to stay hydrated as you get older. I am considering getting a camelbak to wear at work and around the house.
This meme made me thirsty.
Thanks Buddy Jesus!😎
I have drank around 2 gallons/7.5 liters of fluid today after cycling all day. I think I’m on top of it.
Hope you got some electrolytes too :D
Just from food. I’m heat adapted and exercise adapted and my sweat is decidedly not salty. I don’t use AC and went through that recent US east coast heat wave, so I’m comfortable at 90f/32C. I don’t lose a lot from sweat.
I don’t recommend it. I tried increasing my electrolytic capacity once and found some little pills that seemed ideal. I had to eat a lot of them because they were only labelled “microfood” or something like that.
The hospital staff were all very unprofessional. They all giggled when they discharged me.
But I need to pee and don’t feel like getting up :(
