Someone recently gave me a culture, and it feels like a curse. I’ve kept them before and managed to escape… Here I am, a slave to bread once again.

I’m on the wait list for it at my local library!

I started the job last month so I haven’t been able to get through much, I’ve read Consider Phlebas by Iain Banks’ which was not my favorite - it’s very 80’s sci fi and I’ve heard the other books are better, and Nevada by Imogen Binnie which I really liked but it’s very much written for a trans audience and I don’t think it’d resonate for anyone else. I’m doing order fulfillment at a delivery-based convenience store, the pay isn’t amazing but listening to audio books and not having to deal with customers is nice, although the delivery drivers can suck just as bad (but we can block them from doing deliveries for a month if they’re assholes).

Thanks for your answer! Sounds like you’ve got a pretty solid reading list. I’m glad you liked Sourdough and I hope the rest of your picks work out for you.
