I have the money to go out on my days off (salary somewhere between median and mean for my country). I never do. I (partially sick) lay in my bed rn and scroll Lemmy feed. Usually it’s also videogames and youtube.
Imagine having the will to do anything beyond necessary.
I appreciate having the stamina to work a job with a comfortable salary, but damn I wish I had enough more to do more with my parents than let them feed me, and to go socialize once a week with people who aren’t family. I used to have stamina like that and lost it after chemo a couple decades ago. Scrolling and simple games are fine if done because I want to, but when done hour after hour because I don’t have any brain cells available to do more enjoyable things it really loses the sheen.
Imagine having/making the kind of money to go out on your off-days…
ah yes, because going for a bike ride is so expensive

It doesn’t always have to cost to go out and have fun. Some of my most cherished fun times have been in a park, a free museum and on bike rides.
