Narcissus was a mythological figure known for his self-obsession, but ordinary narcissists can’t be self-contained like that; they need other people to support their self-obsession.
Oh, you mean the mental disorder? Narcissistic Personality Disorder?
Yeah, you shouldn’t be using that word if you don’t have NPD. The APA recommends person-first language (person with NPD) or identity-first language (narcissistic person). Label-only language promotes stigma, prejudice, and hatred. You shouldn’t promote hatred against people with mental disorders.
Man this is just like watching a Ben Shapiro video. I’m an evil abusive wokescold for asking someone to use inclusive language. I didn’t know we had this kind of person on the Fediverse.

Oh! Narcissistic behaviour in the wild.
Asking people to use person first language for mental disorders is extremely normal. It’s weird that you’re not used to it by now. It’s 2026.
Right, right. Everyone’s “expletive” if they’re not doing what you want, aren’t they?

Is this a joke?
