I had a fun tool at my last company. It took the average salary or corporate title, looked at the people invited to the call, and let you know what it’d cost.
It’s a great bit of info to share with the meeting fanatics.
I was not popular for doing that at an old job haha. After like the second time people just seemed mad about it.
We had “stand-ups” in the morning where about 25 people had to stand around for 30 minutes every single day. I forget what I’d calculated that to cost but it was absurd and rarely brought any value to anything.
We had all-company standup meetings every morning at my last job. 25 US employees and about 100 in India. Never took less than an hour and usually closer to two. They started at 7 am so that the India employees could participate at the end of their day. That was my first exposure to companies that claimed to be “AGILE” while still doing shit the same old way.
The thing I never understood was how long each India employee would talk. Like, don’t you motherfuckers want to go home?

That’s a great idea! How’d you estimate the salaries?
I had access to the data. But you can also just Glassdoor it.
