While I’m sure child vending machines could be done despite the slew of ethical problems they’d inevitably create, I’m pretty sure that’s a job better left to mothers. They’ve had that whole process down pat for at least a decade or two; I don’t see much point in reinventing the wheel.

I have seen vending machines for beer that you have to swipe your passport/ID on so that it verifies your age. So ething sinilar could be done
Any smoke/beer vending machine ive seen has always been in an establishment you need to be 21 to enter (bars/clubs) and they check ID at the door
