Republicans can very much make a martyr out of Kirk and exploit his story for their own gains, regardless of whether they fully agree with his ideology.
That’s true of any group of people on any one person, if they try hard enough. Because the ‘martyr’ is no longer around, those who are left can twist their ideology to fit their own. (Not disagreeing with you btw I do think they have twisted the narrative)
