I know this is the sad reality at most companies but when I put someone on a PIP I 100% expect them to improve and recover from whatever got them in the PIP.

Guarantee you there’s a non zero chance you are the reason for their pip.

I’ve been a cpo, a cdo, a head of design, a design mgr and an individual contributor. The sad reality is that rarely has a pip corrected anything and mostly it is used to push out individuals.

You work with people you want to succeed you throw them to the wolves when you make it a pip.
